This gynaecological scan is available to women of child bearing age.
We will perform a detailed scan to look at the size, shape and condition of the:
Uterus
Lining of the womb ( Endometrium )
Both Ovaries
Pelvic area
This ultrasound scan is performed for:
Evaluating the wellbeing of the uterus and ovaries before conception.
Estimating the time of ovulation and measuring the endometrial thickness for assisted conception,
Measuring follicles *and endometrial thickness prior to  IVF treatment. ( Follicle tracking scan)
*follicle tracking scan is a gynaecological survey which measures the size of any active follicles and helps to predict when ovulation will occur.
You will usually need three follicle tracking scans performed in any one menstrual cycle.

Best performed: Day 9 of menstrual cycle and repeated at 1-2 day intervals

This gynaecological scan is available to women of  any age.
Detailed scan is performed to look at the size, shape and condition of the:
Uterus
lining of the womb (Endometrium)
Both ovaries
Pelvic area
If you’ve had pelvic pain, unexplained bleeding, heavy periods, period pains, or bleeding after the menopause, you may need a gynaecology scan to check the health of your ovaries, fallopian tubes and uterus.
An ultrasound scan will give a clear view of your reproductive organs and will help determine a possible cause of the problem.
Most of our patients are referred to us by their gynaecologist, but you can also self-refer.

This ultrasound scan are for the detection or exclusion of:
detection or monitoring of fibroids
checking for causes of irregular bleeding

detection of endometrial polyps

The pelvic scan includes trans-vaginal / internal scan
Drink 0.5 Ltr (1 small bottle) clear fluid approximately 1 hour before appointment time.

Milk and fizzy drinks are not recommended.
